ZRVP and WIN Advisors launch Hotel Development Lab – Real Estate meets Hospitality, a series of workshops dedicated to hotel investment and development

Law firm Zamfirescu Racoți Vasile & Partners (ZRVP) and WIN Advisors, a consultancy specialising in hotel investment and advisory services, are launching Hotel Development Lab – Real Estate meets Hospitality, a series of practical workshops for hotel owners, investors and developers interested in the hospitality market. The initiative is supported by Kronospan Design Center.

Designed as a programme of eight standalone sessions, Hotel Development Lab aims to increase market awareness and understanding of the hospitality industry and help mitigate the risks associated with the various stages of developing and operating a hotel asset.

The series follows the entire lifecycle of a hotel investment, from identifying an opportunity and making the initial investment decision through to project development and the long-term operation of the asset. Each workshop will focus on a distinct stage, enabling participants to build, session by session, an integrated understanding of the hotel development process.

Hotel Development Lab brings together professionals involved at different stages of a project and approaches hotel investment from complementary perspectives – investment, commercial, operational, legal, urban planning, financial and technical. The objective is to provide investors with a clear framework for assessing investments in this industry, based on a better understanding of the opportunities, risks and solutions available to manage them.

First session: from real estate opportunity to viable hotel project

The first Hotel Development Lab session will take place on 1 October 2026, from 08:45 to 12:00, at Kronospan Design Center, 45 Unirii Boulevard, Bucharest, and will focus on “Turning a Real Estate Opportunity into a Viable Hotel Project.”

The workshop is dedicated to the Opportunity & Feasibility Assessment stage, one of the first steps in the development of a hotel project and a key stage in informing the investment decision. It will explore the process of turning a real estate opportunity into a viable hotel project, covering market considerations, product, returns, permitting, capital protection and the involvement of key project partners.

The format will bring together commercial, financial, legal and urban planning perspectives and will include a Q&A session and a practical discussion with a real estate developer.

The session will be led by Marina-Crenguța Florea, Partner at ZRVP, together with Cătălina Roșu, Co-Founder of WIN Advisors, and a real estate developer.
