Double recognition for ZRVP at the Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards 2026

Zamfirescu Racoți Vasile & Partners (ZRVP) received two of the most important distinctions awarded for Romania at the Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards 2026, the annual ceremony recognising excellence in litigation and dispute resolution, held in London on 24 September 2026. According to the international jury, ZRVP has the best litigation team in Romania, while Stan Tîrnoveanu, Senior Partner and Founder, received the Romania Litigator of the Year award.

The two awards recognise both the collective performance of ZRVP’s litigation practice and the work of one of the lawyers who has contributed to its development over the past decades.

“These two awards are, first and foremost, a recognition of our litigation team and of the way we approach and handle the complex mandates entrusted to us by our clients – matters that require experience, creativity and the ability to find solutions to some of the most challenging legal issues. Stan Tîrnoveanu heads ZRVP’s Restructuring & Insolvency and Banking Litigation practices and is one of Romania’s most highly regarded lawyers in the field of liquidation and reorganisation.

With more than 40 years of experience as a lawyer and over 25 years as an insolvency practitioner, Stan Tîrnoveanu has extensive experience representing clients in corporate restructuring, debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy matters.

The Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards annually recognise law firms and lawyers demonstrating outstanding performance in dispute resolution. The evaluation process is based on Benchmark Litigation’s annual research, including an analysis of the matters handled by participating firms, their complexity and significance, as well as feedback from the market.

In the 2026 edition, ZRVP was shortlisted for Romania Firm of the Year alongside four other law firms, while Stan Tîrnoveanu was one of five lawyers nominated for Romania Litigator of the Year.

The awards come against the backdrop of ZRVP’s consistent presence in Benchmark Litigation Europe’s research into the Romanian disputes market. In the current edition of the guide, Călin-Andrei Zamfirescu, Cosmin Vasile, Stan Tîrnoveanu, Alina Tugearu and Cosmin Cojocaru are individually recognised by Benchmark Litigation Europe for their dispute resolution work.
